A few pics of the custom work
I never saw it because he lives in Dallas, but basically, I think it was one 13b from his 92, and a 13bt from a junkyard 91. He custom made the exhaust and intake manifold. To the best of my knowledge, they were not too heavily modified, but i'm not a rotary guy, so I can't say for sure. Oh, and it had a t3 40apr turbo on it.
Awwww man, thats MY idea for building a 4 rotor. But I wanna use 2 S4 13B rotors and 2 S5 NA rotors, all with 12a housings. Should be done in a few weeks. My biggest problem is the tps.
Why is anyone even entertaining the 4 rotor speak? It's obvious Austin is a Audio Video guy not an rx7 guy. Otherwise he'd know, there's no way in hell his friend had a 4 rotor. If you've got a 4 rotor and crash it, you replace it with another 100,000 dollar car, not a camaro.Austin, you must be mistaken about the 4 rotor but nice work on your project.
I may be mistaken about the 4 rotor, but he didn't replace the 7 with a camaro because it was a better car, he got the camaro because that's the only thing he could afford with what insurance gave him. But, that is what he told me, and he has owned several rx7's, so I took his word for it. Until I injured my back helping a friend (literally) drop an engine into his car, I was into building cars for racing, and wanted to persue it as a career. So I've seen some pretty weird stuff...like a JDM honda engine in a Mirage, so a 4 rotor to me didn't seem so far fetched.
As for the sub boxes, I can make you a pair of those once I get the interior back in. PM me if you're interested.

I'll give you a hint: I can probably count it on two hands
.
exactly, he's just mistaken. If your friend had a 4 rotor that was running on the street, he'd be on every magazine cover. The only 4 rotor I know of was the 787b in the le mans car. Let's just say deinitively that the 4 rotor comment was a mistake. Now back to your regularly scheduled programming.

Everything will be painted, but what you see is just black primer.

I think you should run with this. Or buy a camaro. Same logic applies to either one

More relevant to the topic is that his friend did not have one, a fact which has already been established.
Go drive your orange car.

and agreed.....NO he didnt have a 4-rotor
the original poster probably meant twin-rotor not four. like someone said he's clearly an A/V guy not an engine and probably just got it mixed up.
in any case tho one should really pay more attention before saying something that rash tho...

there was at least 3-4 four rotors at sevenstock and the 787 wasn't even there. in fact i plan on building one eventually, the main key ingredient is the e-shaft, the rest can be fabricated.
as for the thread, sorry no approval from me because i believe it is a sports car.
