Fender Differences by Series (for a body kit install)

No no no, I'm not installing a kit on my car. I've got a set of S5 fenders that a guy is interested in trading for his S4 ones. He bought a BN? bodykit and is telling me that it won't line up with his S4 fenders correctly, and that he needs the S5 fenders I have so it'll fit correctly.

Now before I go pulling those off of my car, I want to make sure that the fenders are really different, because to me they look the same and I don't think I've read on here that S4 and S5 ones were different.

Help me please

I am pretty sure there is no difference other then the side trim/moldings. So if you trade this guy your trim will not match.

i think the s5 might be a tad wider...i know there is a difference but they are interchangeable.

I wasn't really thinking there was. I have an S5 bumper on my S4 car and it's perfect besides a small mis-alignment at the top crease of the fender. I guess I'll go ahead and trade with him since I'll get a nice lip for my S5 bumper and a radiator I sold him a while back. Maybe if they're really a bit wider he can benefit from that. Thanks guys.

No difference between the wideness of the fender... only the mount holes and position at the bumper is the only difference.
