so when i stand on the drivers side i feel heat coming from under the side skirt. Kinda like the feeling when you stand behind the exhaust while it blows Carbon Monoxide at your leg. Is this normal?

 

probably the clutch fan blowing the hot engine bay air outside, other than that there's not a lot on the driver's side that would do that, unless you have a rather large exhaust leak.

just jack your car up and get under there and check your exhaust bolts and gaskets, maybe start it and then get under to feel where it is coming from. Also if it is a leak your car will sound different when driving next to a wall. It will sound louder than normal.
