Feed lip reproduction

Hey guys. I just received my feed lip spoiler from wormiez. A few things first. His packing material consisted of paper and plastic bags wrapped around it with no noodles or bubble wrap to keep it steady in the box. When I unwrapped it I found a large crack that started at the bottom of the lip and worked it's way around the leading edge to about 3" up the face of the spoiler. Upon further inspection I found that there were inconsistencies in the thickness of the fiberglass, however the face of the lip looked smooth. I'm currently in dispute over the crack. He claims that I didn't put insurance on it, but in all his emails and on this forum he states that the lips are $300.00 packaged and shipped to the US. When the shipper (wormiez) quotes a price you expect to get a product that is usable and in good shape. Insurance is also apart of the shipping and should be included in the price that it takes to get that item safely to your house. My guess is that he had the first few arrive at their destinations in mint condition and figured he could get away without the insurance. He said that mine was the first one to ever be damaged, but due to him being the packer he feels somewhat obligated to chip in on fixing it He also thinks you can just have the body shop put a little resin on it. I got a quote today of $120.54 to properly repair the damage. The next problem is that it doesn't come close to fitting on my car. Now my car is a S4, but he said and provided pictures of this lip mocked up on a S4. It seemed to fit well with the only problem being the indent on the front of the spoiler that normally fallows the indent on the stock s5. I had no problem with that. The lip that I received sort of lines up on the drivers side but is about 1/2 to 3/4" away from the fender/bumper on the pass side. Even if I try to apply moderate pressure it doesn't budge, it's too stiff. Anyone else buy one of these? If so did yours fit?? Here are some pictures of mine. I tried to get the drivers side as close as possible, but even then you can see it start to kick out towards the top of the picture. The passenger side is the result. Not pleased at all here folks.

Um...I guess I could. Though it might be hard to tell from a straight on shot. How are my pictures not good enough? Do you think I'm shifting it around?

*edit* just read your post...hahaha, my bad you're not accusing me of anything. I'll get on those pictures.

Looks pretty useless to me Howd you pay? paypal? File a grievance or w/e against him and get your money back, then return the lip. **** paying for a good product and getting one that is fucked. Shipping FG should always be insured, its too easy to crush and break. Did the box atleast have fragile stickers on it? Lets see more pics

Hmm, well maybe he'll ship them with a little more padding. Hopefully this will all be resolved with out any legal matters.
Makes me sad to see people getting ripped off online, or quick to sue/report people when something goes wrong

I dont get why he wouldnt atleast use noodles. That **** is cheap. I have a ton of it in boxes (saving it) from stuff I received

Well, yeah it should be resolved w/o having to do anything I said. But he stated the seller said he would pay for a portion of the repairs. He should pay for all of them. The buyer paid for something, how is it his fault the shipper didnt insure it, or didnt use good packaging? Just my opinion.

I have a big box full of foam peanuts that i save from packages for when i sell stuff online.
And I didn't say it was the buyers fault. I just thought it would be nice if two people on the forum got screwed, one with his seller reputation and another one as a trusting buyer.

That doesnt like its going to fit at all... If you bend it that much to make it fit, it might crack. I dont think a body shop would put that on w/o modifying it..

Here's how the front edges line up with the bumper. Note the wave to it, how it doesn't quite press up againt the bumper. Also if you look you can see that the lip starts to wrap around the bumper at about the right spot but I can still lay a penny on the mounting edge that is sticking out when it's not suppose to.

That mounting edge is sticking out because its for an s5 bumper, not s4. But the rest = fuxored.

Wormiez told me that the only mounting issue between the S4 and the S5 is where the feed lip has the indent that matches up with the grill opening. Obviously the S4's is wider and thus the misalignment. He meantioned nothing about the lip sticking too far forward.
