The tranny is actually fairly easy to fill, if you have some hose that will reach from the tranny up above the engine compartment. Compressor air hose works well, I use a clear rigid hose I got from the local hardware store.

Crawl under the car and remove the fill plug (9/16" crows foot on a 3/8" ratchet works wonders on that plug), insert one end of the hose, then feed the rest up past the tranny and into the engine bay. Get out from under the car, grab a funnel that fits in the upper end of the hose, and pour about 2 1/2 quarts of fluid into it.

Now filling the diff is a different matter altogether
