FD wheel on lowered FC question for the guys who have this setup

Alright, so before the inevitable "use the search feature" I have already searched and read through all of the (many) threads on this topic. There is a bunch of mixed information in those threads and I want to get some newer feedback from guys who are running FD wheels on their FC.

I have a set of FD wheels from my (now sold) FD that I want to run on my FC. The tires are old and shot anyway so I will need to be getting new rubber on them no matter what.

My FC is lowered on Stance coilovers and it has stock fenders/body (no rolling, and I do not want to do any rolling).

I want to CONFIRM with someone who has an FC on coilovers that either is currently running or has in the past run FD wheels the following (Keep in mind that I do not want to do any fender rolling or use any wide fenders):

1. What spacers will I need both Front and Rear? From my research it looks like the general consensus on the front is to use a 25mm hub centric spacer and for the rear i have seen anywhere from 10-20mm hub centric spacer. Does this match up with what you guys are using currently?

2. I have seen mixed feedback on tire size as well. Please confirm what tire size you recommend running with this setup (combined with your recommended spacer setup) for a moderately lowered stock body (no rolling) FC.

3. Is there anything else i need to know (or buy) before buying the spacers and tires and mounting these bad boys up?

I realize there are many old threads about this but since the information in the threads is so mixed I just wanted to start fresh and ask the guys who currently use this wheel setup on their FC.

Thanks!

Most people going to a wider wheel and tire on the FC will roll the front fender lip under and so make the FD wheel a lower +25 offset with the +25 spacer (16x8 +50 offset wheel).

Because you don't want to roll the front fender lip under you will have to keep it closer to the stock FC +40 offset.

How much camber do you want to run? Each degree negative camber will move your tire outer edge in ~6mm so you can run that much more spacer.

For near stock front camber (none to -1 degree) I would recommend a 15mm spacer for total of 16x8 +35 and a 225/50-16.

The rear you can run no spacer or up to +25mm spacer to make it look less sunken.

You can use this site to see the different fitments and make sure it will fit based off what is currently on your FC.

Thank you very much for the info.

I am looking to run as little camber as possible and I just want the wheels to be close to flush or "stock like" appearance. I will mess with that calculator tool.

FD wheel on lowered FC question for the guys who have this setup

My Project OldTree has been running FD stock 225/50/R16s and KYB AGX/Ground Control coilovers (about 1" lower than stock) for years now with zero fender roll. I'm using Project KICS 20mm hubcentric spacers on all 4 corners. Front total offset would be +45, as close as possible to stock that I know of. The only time I noticed scrubbing is on speed bumps.

Thank you very much! You wouldn't be able to post a pic of your car would you? if I like what I see I am probably going to order 20mm spacers for all for corners

Also did these spacers require any trimming of the stock lugs or was it a complete bolt on affair? What brand did you use?

No modification was needed to the stock lug studs. I got the set of Project KICS 20mm spacers from AutoRnD as it was a package made just for these conversions
