FD seats in FC?

Hi!
I bought a pair of FD seats... Has someone mounted them in a FC before?
Pictures!?

Does someone know if the spacing between the seat rails is the same on the FC and FD? (cant measure, aint got the FD seats here...)

When people only say use the search button in there replys, that means they know dick ****. If it wasn't for these people asking questions there wouldn't be a forum. So everyone deal with it or go home.

I partly agree with you. There are some stuff thats pretty easy to find with the search function (i hardly use it cus i know so much ).... But when i search for stuff thats not that common i end up with 10 pages of threads with people either DREAMING of doing it or just talking about a friends friend that saw someone do it on youtube!!...
Im still using this forum so its not THAT bad, though :P

If its SO easy to find someone thats actually done the this, cant you two who told me to use the search (since its _so_ easy) find a thread for me?

If this thread becomes a Search-discussion thread.. please delete it..

I put some in my old 87. I don't have pics though. Mine sat a little bit higher than the FC seats, but it was worth it.
I made custom brackets and bolted them to the FC rails.
I just got some 1/8' bar steel, cut it into pieces with a hacksaw, bent the pieces to fit, and drilled holes.
It took about 3 hours.

I'm just your average 7 owner and used no math or templates.

I hope you got the microsuede FD seats!

My old car was sold at an auction and is Southern VA somewhere now. It was blue with a primer black nose.

Ahh sounds like a good ide to just make some "spacing" for the seat. As for now ive noticed that the FC rails are to short and the adjustment mechanism hits the glasfiber bottom on the seat.
Im not that tall so maybe i should make some higher spacers than hacking into the glassfiber to make it fit...

Pictures of someone that has these modded rails would be great

I wish I had some

I didn't hack up the FG at all.

All I did was make eight little brackets they were short and I just bent them up and back slightly so I had clearance for the bottom of the FD seat. then I bolted those to the seat, then the seat w/ the brackets to the fc rails.

The were kinda like little s's

Then please educate him on what phrase or phrase to use to weed out all of the non related material.

If your not part of the solution, then you are part of the problem.
If you teach one person how to use the function properly then maybe next time they can educate the next person that is having an issue. Get the idea?

The FD seat sits a couple inches higher then the FC seat. If your tall you will need to look into other seats or custom seat rails.
