FD OPSU in FC?

Will it work:

FD Oil Pressure Sending Unit in an FC.

Will the voltage be in the correct parameter for the Tii Ecu?

Bump...

I just installed the FD Oil Pressure Sending Unit into my S5 Tii and wa trying to figure out if it'll work right (given the FD's oil pressure is known to be several points above the FC's).

Verification? Anyone?

I don't see the point of this, even the factory FC oil pressure gauge is of limited accuracy/usefulness

the sender goes right to the gauge, the ecu has nothing to do with it.

Well, I had a brand new FD sender (an extra from my FD build) and figured that I'd replace the FC one with it, since it was there.

I know the ECU is out of the loop, on this one. I kinda wrote that out without a full thought.

The question is if the FD sender puts out the same pressure, to the gauge, as the FC.

Since I got the Lamco installed, I may use the open port, on it to just run an aftermarket gauge, and get it over with, except that I've only got one more open pod, on the crappy A-piller (looking into that Warning light cluster pod, in the FS section), and still need to get an A/F gauge. It'll be a toss.

I took a quick look in the 93/94 FD FSMs, but didn't see any resistance:pressure values listed for the gauge. If you found some you could could compare to the numbers in the FC FSMs and get a definite answer, but I seriously doubt it's the same.

Yeah. The more I've looked - and failed at finding any info, the less I'm thinking they're similar.

Maybe after I get the car back together, I'll check the gauge and compare it, accordingly.

BTWL What's the little doo-hickeu BEHIND the OPSU? Looms like another sensor, but ?
