FD LIM and FC UIM. anyone ever done this?
read that carefully. im going to using the LOWER manifold from the FD with the UPPER turbo II manifold. because the turbp wouldnt clear the lower manifold, and im not paying 60 bucks just for the damn FD upper manifold. plus the TPS and TB. So anywho. i think the port match between the Upper and Lower is decent. now im just lining up mounting holes.
but im thinking i might have issues with mating the LIM to the engine itself....
anyone else do this before me?

You will need to make an adapter plate to match the FD lim to a T2 engine, unless you are using FD or RE irons. I have both gaskets in hand, and port maching wouldn't be enough there isn't enough material there to remove. Once youve got an adapter plate pushing the lim at least 1/2 inch closer to the turbo I think that takes away the clearance you where looking to gain.

The LOWER wont bolt to the UPPER directly. I would assume something like this would be needed, at the least you would need an adapter plate from the UIM to the LIM (or you can also port match) and notch the bolt holes. Then from there you may also need an adapter plate from the LIM to the KEG, now i am 99% sure no one has ever done that, so not sure what problems you may run into, other then maybe lining up the ports or bolt holes or something. Although you have to watch the injector placement as well (not sure if its much different, but it something to think about). I am doing the reverse of this tho the FD UIM to a FC LIM (S4). But if you need a hand, i can help ya, i feel for what yer trying to do.
