FD intake manifold swap

I've been looking for pictures of how it was actually modified to be mounted. I know that you use the stock s5 LIM but the FD UIM and TB. Im looking for a picture and instructions on how you guys got it mounted. Which side did you drill and port the FD or FC side?

Thanks guys

I've heard of people doing the s4->s5 swap because of a small gain in power, but what big gain do you get from swapping to an s6?

The S6 TB is bigger and the TPS has been said to be better than the S4.

The easiest way to complete the swap is to buy the feed adapter plate and bolt everything together. That would be fine if Feed didn't charge so much for the plate.

I've seen the FD manifold mounting tabs drilled out so they match the S5 LIM.

Yea I've been reading that page but non of the pictures works at all. I want to drill out one side to match the other because there is no way id pay that much for some plate from feed.

just fet you s5 gasket, die grinder w/ some stones, and a drill. put the gasket to the s6 uim to were the center hole that the big bolt goes threw and line up, then spray paint it to were you make the outline of the gasket on the uim get your die grinder go to town, you only really got to port out the 2 middle holes and a little on the outer 2, then drill the mounting studs a little to were the uim will bolt on but dont touch the middle 1, that your centering point, **** buying that plate, i hade all this stuff laying around and spint only 20 bux on stones

good luck

How about the S5 LIM side, any porting needed? and jeez wouldnt all that porting leave very thin amount of aluminum? The ports would be kinda odd shaped also.

yes little bit left but still enought to seal, check out the last page of the thread i posted above to be read, why would the holes be odd shaped? all the holes will still be circled, you basiclly just gotta make the 2 inner holes bigger and take a little bit off the outer holes
