Was wondering if this would be a good upgrade and if it's possible? or is the FC intake manifold good enough?

 

the FD manafold is a great upgrade but i believe you need to do a little port matching

 

do u mean porting the engine on the intake side?

 

I assume you are wanting to install this on a T-II. The lower manifold will not work on a 2nd gen engine. Nothing lines up right. The intake runners on the 3rd gen engine enter from a higher angle and are therefore located higher in the manifold. The bolt holes don't line up either. With a little work you can easily mate a 3rd gen upper to a T-II lower manifold. This is where you need a little port matching. You'll also have to figure out how to mount the T-II TPS to the 3rd gen throttlebody and then redo the neccesary intake plumbing. It looks really cool though.

 

If you're going to go through all that trouble, why not just port both stock manifolds?
