i hope you have a t2 LIM, you are going to need to get a spacer and a s5 lim or do some serious port matching/adapting if its even possible on a s4. there really isnt any reason to do this

As stated, you will need a 1989-91 (S5) TII lower intake manifold to match the FD upper intake manifold to as the stud pattern and ports are the closest.

You will have to use a spacer or weld up some fill on the FD UIM so that you can properly port match the primary runners (2ndary runners line right up).

You also have to mill the FD UIM stud holes a bit to get them to line up if you do not use the spacer technique.

You will have to adapt the TPS and idle control solenoid and intake air temp to work.

there really isnt any reason to do this
A back to back dyno between the two upper intake manifolds recently showed ~20HP and ~30 Lbs of torque difference with the FD UIM over a good spread of rpm. Only lost a couple HP under ~3,500rpm.

Turbo23 your engine bay looks great, im curious what kind of improvement you get from this, does it increase air flow? If not it still looks cool.

Black lines= FD UIM

Red lines= FC UIM

Pink line= his old set up

Now look at the scaling of the numbers.

about 30 ft/lbs of torque and 20 hp gained just by using the FD UIM....

What about the omp? I can't figure out how to hook up the t2 rod to the FD UIM...

Thread from the dead! Anyway, if you are modifying the car to this point I'd probably go ahead and just remove the existing OMP and premix ..

Have fun!
