FD and FC s5 alternator on 88 TII

Yeah I think my alternator might be going out I have one from a N/A 91 and one my friend is going to part out his FD soon and he has a good alternator I think I might buy. Which one will go on with the least amount of hassle? The input for the harness to the alternator looks like a match but the main connection the bolt on the alternator looks thicker than the eye of the connector, somebody who is in the know hit me back.

The least amount of "hassle" would be the S5 alt. You would only need to change the plug. With the FD alt you would need to change the pulley as well as the plug

Icemark is right about the hassel, BUT i believe its worth it if you have the time to wait for a part...

BUT if your buddy is parting out that FD... Grab that Alt AND the plug for the harness... FD alts put out more juice.... Then get a double sheeve pully from HiGGI or Mazdatrix or somewhere... Belive me, i have one and they are MUCH better. Its worth the hassel IMO!!
