Didn't I pm you with the details of Installation?

Match thickness of wires respectively.
Ie.
thick>thick
thin>thin

Fini!

Okay. I'm finding It a tad bit difficult to understand you. Perhaps I'm thinking to hard.

You are saying there Is a thick and thin wire coming out of the Harness Plug I provided you with? If so, see It as thick being positive and thin being your ground.

As for your cut wires of the stock Harness, bring out the DMM and set It on voltage and determain which wires are your 12v source. Just take the ground probe and place It on the negative termanial of the Battery. With the Key ON, touch each probe, one by one until you see a reading of 12v or higher on your DMM. Thats It.

But is the black usually the Pos. and what will happen if I plug it on wrong.
This is what I did, I put the Fat wire on the Alt and plugged it into the Blk wire and turned the key and everything as far as radio and lights worked, does that mean Im good. Cant find out till I get a jump

Fully charge your battery with a battery charger - NOT the alternator. This is the quickest way to kill your new alternator.

You are making this harder on yourself...

I can't be much help to you at this point. Try wiring It up the one way. If no fuse blows, proceed to solder, heat shrink tube wrap and forget about It. Should the fuse blow, you know you have to replace the fuse and switch the wires around. Done.

For future referance, please line up the plugs accordingly, prior to cutting them, respectively.

Oh trust me, dont misinterpret my response for panic and dismay, its not that big of a deal, in fact I really dont care.......
Its hard to work on my car at 2 in the morning due to my apt. so I'll just troubleshoot tommorow, I just wanted to know if the blk wire is positive or neg on the S4 harness. because they are exactly the same size. Thanks for your help though,
I also had to get spacers for the Top mount intercooler and buy a bigger connector for the FD ground wire due to it being a different size. Its not just plug and play, it requires a little more work, but well worth it.
Still 100% satisfied with the Alt.

No sweat. As mentioned before, I had none at the time. I still have your mailing address and will gladly send out the connector tomorrow with this weeks FD Alternator Kits. Cool?
