Exclamation FD ac COmpressor on fc?

I need a new ac compressor for my fc and i found one for a good price. Is it the same thing for either car or it only fits on the fd?

Thank you in advance.

it will not work. Lines are different, pump mounting is different. Trust me I know this because I went to great time and effort to get a FD pump to work on a FC bracket because I didnt want v-belts on my engine

I had the ac bracket itself modified, this involved having material welded so that I could thread the compressor to it, after making sure it would align. I then used a tensioner from a FD . I did this to a PS delete factory manual steering AC bracket from a S4 car.

Then of course custom lines, which was easy

I cant say for sure of the clutch assembly by itself can be swapped from FC to FD

It will be a lot of work to adapt the TV series compressor to your application, and the TV series is an odd little beastie that they didn't put on very many applications, and had to engineer special lubrication oils for. I would stick with a more traditional piston type compressor such as a Denso 10P or Denso 10PA. Those two were used on hundereds of different models over the years, and should be readily available. Brackets to mount a 10P should be easy to come by as well.

Clutches that fit the 10PA series should also fit a TV series compressor, and may fit the 10P series as well.
