yea.. defintly port the wastegate.. its really easy too.. takes about a half hour if you have the right tools. keep in mind those high numbers (300-310 at 15psi) is, i'd assume, with a nice port job and some really good tuning with more then likely a standalone. if you want 280 to the wheels I'd use a standalone. you can control everything you need to with a standalone. So no worrying about using a safc and not being able to tune timing or anything like that.

so in other words people are saying 280 rwhp you have to have a standalone to manage everything? I would like to know what the rtek 1.7 would do for me then. I want to use the bnr stage 3 make 280 to the rear wheels with a 255 walbro fuel pump, 720cc scondaries, 3 inch turbo back exhuast, cold air intake, and the rtek 1.7 is that not possible? if it isn;t with that would it be possible with the afcs2 added in, I really don't want to make the car have anymore than 280 to the wheels and i don;t want anything more than needed to achive this.

why not get the rtek 2.0?? then you can tune fuel and timing. You dont ABSOLUTLY need a standalone.. just IMO the best choice. and if you get the rtek 1.7 i assume you would also need a safc. someone correct me if im wrong. Im not to familiar with the Rtek 1.7. With the price of a 1.7 Rtek and SAFC youd be lookin at the price for a Rtek 2.0 and half the price of a standalone (keep in mind a standalone needs to be installed and if you dont do it, it can be a couple hundred). Or you can Megasquirt it.. full standalone kit for about 400 i see em go for in the FS section.

BTW: i have a brand new 255 walbro for a FC F/S if you dont already have one..
