FCD Electrical Problems
Well, last night I drove out to pick up my FCD for $80(nZ), anyway I plugged it straight in and the "fun" began.
I'm screaming at my mate to shut his door, now the door idiot light stays on. I started the car and bloody alarm went off. My CD players making some awful sounds and it won't work, and many other misc things that I won't crap on about.
I realise there's some major electrical drama's going on now, but I can't see how pulling one plug out the pressure sensor and plugging something else in the middle can cause all these problems. I took the FCD out and everythings still haywire.
Oh and just quickly on top of the BAC valve there's supposed to be a screw for idle adjustment, well there isn't one. I took the valve off thinking i might just be ramming the wrong sort of screwdriver in there, but no, no screw. How can I adjust the idle??

Um, wow. Check all fuses...Did you install the FCD with the ignition powered up? Did you remove the battery first?
It almost seems like you shorted something nasty and burnt a few wires.

In my excitement I just pulled over to the side of the road and wacked it in, the ignition was off but the battery was still hooked in. I'm gonna try and book it in to an auto electricians sometime this week.

So any ideas about the idle adjustment??
Its waivering around the 500-600 mark and I can't seem to find any intake leaks, and I just adjusted the TPS the other day.
Cheers
Nick
