FC3S vented hood options

Ive searched ebay and all of the internet and cant seem to find a good vented hood. My friend is doing a V mount set up and wants to have a nice drop vent or vented hood. if you know of any please point me in the right direction. Also, he's looking for something he can actually buy like, now, so dont bother showing us some discontinued small run super JDM hood from like 1994. thanks!

Good Luck!!! they stop making allot of the parts for FC3s. like the airo mirrors from the 90's i spent like 3 months finding a used set and spent a pretty penny on them. There is a couple of hoods one ebay just got to look. I just looked into the major body kit companies websights they got nothing for the FC3s. sorry dude all i can say is build your own. have a one of a kind....

i think vis has a "invader" style hood which would be good for a VMIC or HMIC

Shineautoproject in the GB section may still have the Sexy Style reverse vent hoods...

PM him and ask.

Other options are to look at various other Japanese companies like D-Max and such, or have one ordered through Rishie at AutoRND.com.

Auto RnD are also a forum vendor so you can get a hold of them in the Group Buy section.

the dmax hood showed the cooling difference with their hood over a FG hood.

69.X* with the FG
49.X* with the Dmax hood

SO far it's my favorite hood out there.

Chaser/AeroKits.net

I have a front mount and need a vented hood.
This is the one I think I have decided on...

GT300 Hood ($400 + $150 freight)

They also have this one...
REA Flared Hood ($300 + $150 freight)

Can anyone vouch for fitment of either hood? Preferably the first one.

I owned the original prototype they made for the Knightsport knockoff. Fitment wasn't perfect by any means, but then again, it was the prototype.

I got a genuine KS hood now though.

Oh and the "REA flared hood" is a knockoff of the Knightsport hood, not RE-Amemiya. I don't know where they got that **** from.

Might want to make sure that the vents are "open", I belive the hood is not really vented.

Anybody interested in the shineautoproject hood?

Maybe we can ask for GB

KNONFS - I'm pretty sure the hood is shown with the rain trays installed. The vents are functional without them.

13b4me - What were the fitment issues? Do you have any pics?

Does anyone else have the GT300 hood and have pics to show how it fits?

Am I the only one that thinks this hood would look incredibly out of place on an angular FC and it looks like one of those ricey hoods where people buy a blank hood, and some vents, then cut holes and glass them on? They don't look designed to fit the car, just generic vents.

Thats more of an FD hood.

It looks nasty on any stock body FC.

It looks okay with the RE-A FC2000 GT Front End.
