FC3S Diff

Quick story - Bought barn find S4 NA FC3S

Couldnt find the NA engine for sale so l bought a 13B-T with Trans from japan - expected delivery April - bla bla

I have S4 LSD - but l still dont know if l can keep it or need to upgrade

On Rx-7 discord - ppl told me that l should upgrade - because l couldnt drive the car hard , or could risk destroying diff and locking up tires at worst time possible

On Nightride discord - im told that the diff will live if l keep the power under 200kw

Here - Clutch>Viscous type

So - Can someone give me pros and cons - or rather definitive answer ?

P.S I dont need more power

it depends. if you do hard launches, and clutch drops and such, the NA diff will break.
if you don't launch it hard, and keep to ~200kw it should be ok, at least for a while.

in a street car the biggest thing Mazda would use the NA diff in i think is the 160hp/3000lbs FC vert.
in a race car they ran it at Lemans, 310hp/2100lbs (sorry its not metric)

Honda used the Diff in the S2000, 240hp/3200lbs.
