FC won't start! Not flooded, Getting good compression, new to rotarys! HELP
So here's the deal. I just bought a 1987 rx-7 fc turbo ii. its in great shape! this is my dream car and its my first car
so I got it home and drove it around a bit, cant very much because its still not insured. But it drove great! the only problems i have had were starting problems. however that was because i had next to no gas in my car. after gas was added everything worked perfectly. so i brought it over to my grandpas shop and did a full service on it. Oil, Spark Plugs, ect. I also re-soldered the CPU. I have never soldered before but i did an excellent job. Nothing was touching anything that wasnt suppose to be touching. I did this to fix the horn, however it also fixed many other things, for instance all the emergency lights now work as does the seat belt warning sounds. got in the car tried to start it and it sounded like it was flooded so i went through every single de-flooding procedure there is and if anything its worse. i checked the fuel filter and the fuel pump is working. my only guess is the engine is not getting enough gas by the injectors, which im guessing to check would be a large job also the timing marks on the main pulley are gone so i dont know if that is an issue. im getting good compression, 80+psi all around and i know its suppose to be a special compression tester but thats good enough for me. so i need help i have no idea what it could be. the apex seals are good, its getting fuel, everything is new, its not cold out, i am honestly at a loss and i want to drive my car!! any help is beyond appreciated thx in advance.

Have you checked for spark? If so, have you disabled the fuel pump and sprayed up to two seconds of starter spray into the air intake duct and attempted to start the car? And if you run too low on gas that could cause the fuel sock in the gas tank to become rather clogged.
whenever working on a car you do not know inside and out it is a good idea to do a start/run check on it after each leg of your service.
ie, replace fuel filter, start the car. because the fuel system has to prime it will take a few more seconds of cranking.
then change the spark plugs, start the car to verify you got the plug wires in the correct order.
then do the oil change and start it for another 10 seconds to cycle the oil before shutting it off to check the oil level.
even experienced mechanics do this.

yes all 4 plugs have spark, this thing has not had much gas in it so it has been dieing from that recently. I will check the fuel stock but i believe its getting fuel, we took off the fuel line and tried to start it and it pumped just fine. Will try the starter fluid though, I did put gas directly into each rotor and it started up then died

slow down bro- you did SOMETHING, slowly and calmly trace your steps, check all connections, plugs, relays, fuses, etc.
your car worked, you did some things to it- now it dont start- so this means you overlooked something.

If the car has spark, and it is not flooded like you say, the why not spray some starter fluid into the intake and see if it fires. This would narrow it down to a fuel problem (injectors, since you pulled the fuel line and it's pissin fuel).
I know you said it wasn't flooded, BUT, if youre getting fuel, air , and spark, I can't see any other reason why it shouldn't fire up. Did you physically pull your plugs? Also I believe 80 psi is getting pretty low.
Regular compression testers just record the highest compression face of the rotor. What you need to look for is 3 even bounces at 80.

i think i figured it out it might be the fuel pump. i did a pressure test and it was absolutely zero. before it came out but i guess it was just built up pressure. so im trying to figure out how to test the fuel pump.
yep just jumped directly to the pump just trying to figure out which one of the 4 fingers to use. the pump worked and it spitting out fuel. going to try a pressure test directly off of the 12v source

looks like im still having some problems, will post tomorrow in more detail whats going on, but im planning to set up the fuel pump directly to a 12v source just so i can manually run it. this is a picture of my new short shifter / bubble shifter that i installed today.
all good, connected wire with inline fuse to the battery then to switch. after that it went on to the fuel pump. i have to turn it on and off every time i want to use my car but it works! thanks for all your guys help!
