Pull the connector off the TPS and see if it revs higher or closer to normal. If it still runs as bad as you describe, you've another problem altogether. Takes but a moment to pull the plug off and see.

What happens, is the plunger inside the TPS sticks and causes a malfuncton. You look at the plunger of the tps and it might seem to go in/out, but the internal part of the plunger is stuck in one positon. This causes sort of a fuel cut conditon, so you get no rev's. Been there, done that. Only thing that fixed the problem was unplugging the TPS. Forturnatley I freed up the TPS and it worked for a bit after that episode.
