btw, diffusers don't make downforce. maybe take a fluids class...or wiki http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diffuser_(automotive)

Ummn I have a wing very similar to the RE amemiya one in my shed. It looks a bit like the stock one but hangs over the back of the car more. And magus222 you have destroyed your fc if you have that wing on

I'd rock the hell out of that Odula CF wing if my TII was a track car.

Umm yeah... so where have did you learn this wisdom you share with us? A spoiler such as the Odula or RE models make your car... hold on... wait for it... FASTER (when circuit driving/racing/lapping).

And there is nothing wrong with trying to replicate the race-look, I just prefer that it's done on a car that sees the majority or all of its use in the environment it is built for i.e. VIR, Mosport, Road Atlanta, Infineon, you get the picture. These "park benches" are completely functional in the right place. To each their own.

Can you read or what?

Wiki- "The diffuser then eases this high velocity air back to normal velocity and also helps fill in the area behind the car making the whole underbody a more efficient downforce producing device by reducing drag on the car and increasing downforce."

Are you GM's next great engineer? Ha Ha Ha

I'm a new member and already spotted a troll. The shame of it is that he says he's from a FSAE team. There's a phrase that involves a dog, feces, and his own doghouse that comes to mind..

In laymen's terms, a "spoiler" creates down-force by creating a HIGH-pressure zone ABOVE it and pushing the car down. A "diffuser" creates down-force, only difference is it creates a LOW-pressure area UNDER the car. High-pressure on top/low-pressure on bottom... either way you do it, down-force is created.

I thought the Erebuni wing was taller? Do you have a side shot?

IMO the odula or Amemiya GT wings look sick!!! my .02 though...to each their own.

I personally run the Amemiya Wangan type wing like CwestFD3S

I have an Erebuni wing that looks alot like the one above. its been in my garage for like 5 years but I dont like it.

OFFERS???

Oh, you're THAT kind of person...

edbltx7: Is it an Authentic Erebuni? I'd love to see some pics of it, PM me, or email me if you'd like.

Its pretty clear that you have absolutely no idea about wings in general, and this really sounds like the blind leading the blind.

I won't pretend to be an expert, but you need to understand that most consumer 'wings' are simply cosmetic pieces and all they do is increase drag. Remember that an automotive wing is, in a very general sense, an airplane wing molded so that it produces force in the down direction instead of in the up direction. The design of the wing will change its effectiveness at speed, however there is no magic number that applies to all wings. Also, any wing that provides downforce and is worth buying is likely not going to be going for style points.

Remember that a wing applies downforce to one side of the car so guess what happens to the other side of the car? Once you start to play with aerodynamics you have a whole other realm of vehicle dynamics to think about because depending on your speed the level of benefits you receive from those pieces change. And so your suspension needs to be able to handle both the at speed dynamics and the under speed dynamics.

What bunnybunny is saying, in my opinion, is that you should not be driving your car at its limits while on public streets in any capacity. Especially on ice and snow where the threshold for failure is much wider. Keep that kind of driving to approved locations. If you don't feel safe driving the RX7 in ice and snow you can look at buying snow tires, or the money you will spend on a real wing will be better spent on a winter beater that is safer to drive in ice and snow.

It's called a GP wing. Only one I have ever seen.
Not as long as a Wangan and I paid $35.00 for it.
I still need to fiberglass it into the car so it' seamless.

Can't beat that!

Agreed, many different wings in the market. Just need to shop around a little.

Good luck in your search.
Dude I have this spoiler!!!!! I never thought I would see another one. I also had like a three-tone dp stripe originally on my hood
