FC Parkers Don't Work
Hey Guys
I understand that for FC's which have amber indicators and no parkers/FTP lights in the indicator slot that when you turn the headlight switch one notch forward the headlights should stay down and turn on and thus shine through the clear lenses above the front indicators. However I have found mine do not.
The only modification I have done to the headlights is I put raybrig lenses and gloves into there but it came as the whole front headlight so i just removed the old frame and put the raybrig one in however I cannot remember if my parkers worked before then.
I have looked in the area for a seperate wire that the wiring diagram indicates as Red/Black but I can't find one. I'm pretty sure the harness that connects to the headlight bulb has a R/B one in it but that would be for 'light'. There are male plugs on the back of the bulb, i assume one is for 'light', 'highbeam' and 'ground'.
My friend has suggested that I find an illumination wire from behind the dash and run that to the 'light' wire on the headlight harness however that seems like alot of effort and I'm sure there should be an easier solution.
So in summary, when i flick my headlight switch once forward, my dash lights come on, my headlights stay down, but they DO NOT turn on. Flicking the switch forward again, my headlights come up and turn on.
Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated!

Uhm, I have never seen an FC do that. Turning on the parking lights only illuminates the amber parking lights.
There is a mod to make the headlights come on without moving them upward, which could be applied to the switch to turn the headlights on when parking lights are engaged.

In other FC models the front indicators in the front bar have both an amber section and a white section. The amber section is the indicator however the white section is the parker which comes on when you flick the switch one notch forward.
With your FC's guys, when you flick your switch forward one notch your dash lights come on, but do any exterior lights come on at the front of the car??

Hey could you point me in the direction of this mod. I am in Australia so perhaps the Jap/Aus delivered FC's are different however I'm pretty sure all FC's have a set of parker or Flash to Pass (FTP) lights that come on when you turn the headlight switch once.

Buy these and get rid of the amber lights, or connect them together for a total of four park lights.
Or get another relay so you get four instead of three modes. Off - Amber - Amber and blank and headlights up.

well I know the USDM FC's don't have the flash to pass lights functional. they work as you described. I know that JDM FC's have the flash to pass lights functional and probably work the you want them to. the AUDM must have done the same as the USDM had done i.e. disable that system. only way to get them to work is working with wiring, sorry.
