I've never seen a really NICE green FC.

I like orange, but it screams "Signal Auto" nowadays.

I've been toying with dark brown metallic - it's an old Saturn color.
Zomething Different...

ive always like the pearl white on mitsu 3000gts, but i also wouldn't mind a midnight blue pearl that as a bit a purple in it in the right light.

 

i think a hunter green would look badass with some bronze wheels.

and i definitely couldn't stare at it for hours.

of course, mine had some ricer crap painted in as well. which just added to it getting old quicker.

OK, I'm going to go ahead and say it. I've been holding it in for years, but I can't any longer:

All FC factory colours suck. I hate them. They're plain, flat and just totally boring.

The colour on my car is actually based on a Ford colour. It is a metallic red used on the 2000 Mustang. E6 is the code, I think. We sprayed a gold base, then the Ford colour, then candy-red clear. The only problem is that you can't take pictures of it, because it's too deep. And touch ups are a royal pain in the ***.

 

looks like someones comming out! :-p your paint must look real nice in person! i had my car painted a darker red w/ ppg paint. I forgot what the paint code was but it turned out really nice, it gives the car less of a flashy look but still keeps me satisfied. just look at my avatar to get an idea.

 

One Phrase:

CLARET MICA.

Being unbiased cause it have one, I think it is the best stock color after maybe the Infini Black/Forest Green.

And why not INFINI color scheme??

 

I agree on the forst green. But honestly I can't say what color I'd like to see or own the most.

Maybe a really dark blue.

 

I know I already posted here once but what about that pumpkin metal flake you see on some of the newer Eclipses? I can't quite imagine it on an FC but it's looked good on any other car I've seen it on. Maybe someone could photoshop that?

but yeah, im contemplating the old school 2 tone idea!! i was thinking of doing the upper half a gray color, kinda dark, but not too dark as the bottom half will be black!! its a factory color (very rare) on the 240sx and i was looking into it when i had one. it looked really really appealing on the 240 i saw it and i think it would look pretty damn good on a FC too

 

i want to see someone mix a pirates deathshead logo with a rotor.

 

give me a week to master that one, and I can do it!

 

Phantom Grey

Yeah I agree with Minushuman. My first car was an 87 base in grey and I loved the way it looked. It wasn't bright enough to get a look from every cop that you went past but car enthusist would still stare. Now every damn cop I pass in my 10AE looks at me and it shows in the amount of times I have been pulled over. Damn laws. What are they all about.

 

yeah, thats pretty much the grey color im lookin at, its either the 2 tone gray/black, or all black, gray, white, or maybe a silver..............desisions desisions lol

Yeah- higg's the only one with the bizzalls to cut up an FC2K front end, and the only one
with the skills to make it look trick.

 

Whatever you do, stay away from flat grey colors! I just put my car back together after getting everything primered and today I drove it in traffic. I was almost run over twice today! Once by a bus (that would have been ugly) and again at night by an Accord. I guess small pavement colored cars are a safety hazard.

Edit: The Accord acknowledged my presense after I blew his doors off
