FC Owner's Opinion

Would you rather have a part that's spacifically for your application, but possibly have to wait to recieve the part (as it might be out of stock and have to be made)

or

A "universal" part, that performs just as well, but doesn't cosmetically fit perfectly (close, but not perfectly); More likely to be in stock, and never having to worry about getting the wrong part?

The cost for each would be the same; it just a matter of personal opinion that I would like to gague.

Vote and/or Post with your opinion and reasons for it.

i agree with CrackHeadMel ..."Patience is a virtue"
All that happens is you get pissed later on and end up changing it anyway...so why not wait and do it right!

Better to do it once and correctly, than multiple times and crappily.

It would depend. If the difference is only cosmetic, then I would use the universal part for sure. However, if the difference adverselly affects performance, reliability, and especially safety, then I wouldn't even consider anything but the correct part.
