FC NA is too tinny and loud.

I want to quiet down my FC.
I made the mistake of thinking the stock mufflers would keep it quiet.
The car is street ported and has headers with no catalytic converter. I had two new mufflers put on the car is still obnoxious haha. I want to make it close to factory quiet. so my question is..
Which will give it better sound and quiet it down the most?

New Catalytic converter or a 3rd muffler before the rear two?

Just get a RB catback system and call it a day.

I would do that but 635.00 is not an option. I am looking for a under 200 dollar solution.

You need a presilencer if you don't have one. Otherwise the header will make it sound very tinny.

A straight pipe even with the stock manifold and an RB catback can make it sound tinny. Presilencers/resonators cancel out a lot of that noise.

Yep put in the biggest resonator you can fit under the car. I have a header, RB catback and a resonator in place of the main cat. It is pretty liveable, and not very tinny.

I welded a cheap $24 thrush glasspack right before the y. I know everyone thinks it's a bad idea but it's been a year and a half and I still like the way it sounds with the monza catback.

Sorry I forgot to mention I already have the RB silencer and its no good. I don't think another resonator will fix it. I want it QUIET.. like is it running quiet? like factory.

Well you have the presilencer & not quiet enough??? I would like to say that when performing mods there is trade offs, so if you do an exhaust there's no reason to think it will not get a little louder at best. Maybe try mufflers with baffles.

Also the thickness of the pipe will contribute to the "tinny" sound. Thin piping will amplify it while thicker walled piping will reduce it. You could always find just the RB mufflers since I believe they will bolt on the factory y pipe. No need to buy brand new, you can find some that are used for cheaper. RB's products are durable and will last quite a while. I ran a stock muffler on my SA with just an RB header straight piped back to it and it was aweful. Put my Racing Beat muffler on and solved that issue. Great sound with no tinny resonance or anything

Not sure what you mean by tinny. I have the full RB on both cars and there is nothing tinny about it. The NA is noticeably louder than the turbo while cruising. Do you mean it sounds like a honda buzz can? You must have some real thin piping because there is no buzz with either of my cars.

Put in quieter mufflers... thrush turbo mufflers will quiet it down.

i saw that fujisubo cat back on ebay too.. id buy it if i had the cash.. still looks clean too. But yeah i had headers to a custom exhaust system my dads friend made for me. I was cheap and used a resonator off a megan prelude catback and a greddy evo 2 muffler off an rsx. With headers to that system it was nice n deep sound.
