fc lsd rear question

fc lsd rear question

how you doing every body, i just bought a rear for my vert. but
i just got 1 question, do anyone knows the difference between na lsd and turbo II lsd
how can i identify which is which .

i know for sure its a lsd because when i spin the drive shaft part both axle section goes the same way.

TII rear has a different bolt pattern for the driveshaft and half shafts.

pretty certain the carrier is larger.. 8" on the Turbo and 6" on the na someone correct me if I'm wrong.

only thing that is different is the driveshaft bolt up.. i just put one in my car.. it's going to be really tough to get in.. just to let you know..


for the drive shaft you either have to get a t2 drive shaft or through the drive shaft bolt up from the old rear on the new rear and use that

It's a 7" rear on the NA. Same as the Miata. The TII uses an 8" rear like the FD.

BTW, just turning the driveshaft and watching the wheels spin may not tell you if it is an LSD or not. Try turning one of the wheels and see if the other one spins in the same or opposite direction. Same = LSD.
