yeah, but then you have your diff and subframe hanging lower and you loose all your clearance you were trying to get in the first place.

he's trying to do it for the functionality, not the look

That's who I was talking about - Neil & Lorna Wright. The pic reminded me of their team name, and I looked up the website - they are still rallying and road racing FCs, now out of Ottawa.

Some detail about the general setup is there (eventually upgraded to HotBits coilovers/remote reservoir struts, iirc). The pics show the ride height is pretty stock - and lots of skid plate on the underbody
