FC guys: Interested in a charity event and track day? at NJMP on September 29th
Going to crosspost this here to see the interest level...... a prominent member of the FD community passed away back in 2008 from diabetes complications. He had built a badass 20B FD (build thread below) and we've held this event every year since.

This year it's at NJ Motorsports Park on the Lightning track. Car show and raffle of some very sweet rotary goodies, with the track event being a nice option.
Here's the link, hope to see some of you there

Well, everyone is welcome to attend and take place in the fun times...... tons of awesome stuff being raffled off, and the only real cost is $20 to attend which goes right to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation. If anyone wants to attend but can't cover that cost then please PM me and we'll be able to take care of you

I know that quite a few people are coming to the event in their daily drivers.... even without a rotary-powered car there I can guarantee you'll have an amazing time
Btw, please check the thread in the 3rd Gen section for all the recent updates etc

So I just spoke to the organizer of the track weekend and learned some exciting news:
During the noon lunch hour we will have Lead and Follow sessions behind a pace car (no passing) with groups of 7 cars at a time (is that number coincidence? ). Glen told me that every rotary that is on site in support of the Carlisi meet will be able to go out free of charge for a 'Taste of the Track'..... no helmets required for these laps
Also some other news:
For those tracking, please arrive at 7am, 7:30 at the absolute latest. Shoot to be done with tech at 8am, tech will be closed at 8:30am. You'll be out there running sessions until 6pm-ish.
They hope to have 7 sessions of 15 to 20 minutes each, and after the second session if someone is experienced on track they'll be able to bring passengers out with them. For those with extra helmets, definitely bring them along as I'm sure someone will need them
Also, for those last minute guys and gals, there still is time to sign up..... it's advisable to sign up ahead of time but worst case you can sign up the day of. The point of contact on the track for the cars will be a nice woman by the name of Michelle
Lastly, we will have a 'cooldown' session at the Finish Line pub at the end of the day. They're located on the track grounds and feature great burgers and frosty beer
Can't wait to see everyone there, it's going to be a blast
