fc glass sunroof???

hey m trying to find out if the glass sunroofs for the fc came in glass or plexiglass? i found one but its a plexiglass piece. any good info is worth something thanks..

They were real glass (I have one). They weren't actually a factory optoin, but was a dealer option. I don't recall the factory that made them, but they were out of Califonia, I'm sure someone here will pipe in with the company name.

Pacific Auto made glass ones, but they're no longer made. I think the dealers offered as an option through the Mazda Finish Line accessory book.

I actually haven't heard of a plexiglass one. The glass ones are rare though.

yea the guy says he has a plexiglass and it doesnt look that bad but im not sure if i should get it or not. its almost hard enouph to find a glass one if any but im not sure if the glass is ever going to show up for me to get..

Just sit tight and hawk the for sale section. I have had two opportunities in the past year when. The first one was broken and the seller refunded me, and I just recently snagged one that should arrive soon.

It should have gotten there today :-)

Saratoga was the other company that produced them, they made one in glass, and one in engineering plastic. They look great, and really open up the interior....

The 1988 Mazda Finish Line brochure mentions that the transparent moonroof was available in tempered glass or "S.A.R. acrylic". Here's a link to the brochure on my profile page:
