FC folded mirrors (euro version): can they be locked in closed position?
Hi
I have a big problem. Soon i will move my european FC Turbo 2 cabrio in a tight garage box! The FC will fit this box only with mirrors in closed position!
My FC mounts the "squared" black mirrors same for japan version!
I know i'm a little dumb (D'oh!) but it's the first time i try to fold the mirrrors and i discovered today that they will not remain locked into folded position! There are 2 springs but i can't find anywhere the lock key for the folded position!
It's unbelievable they can't be locked folded!
Please explain me how to do that!
Thank you so much!

Most of us here are from North America, so we don't have folding mirrors at all (they weren't offered here).
Can you send a picture of it? We might be able to tell from that.
Otherwise you might need to wait until another European member who has those mirrors sees this post.

i have the Japanese mirrors on mine, and while they do not lock folded they do hang in such a way that if you fold it, it stays folded

First thing i tried!
I folded them and the springs inside put them all the way back!
Something is wrong with my mirrors......but they are original and untouched (i think)! That's because it should be a locking mechanism for sure!
@need-a-t2
Absolutely no! I often drive the car in summer time and it's a non sense unmounting and mounting the mirrors every time!
If i can lock closed the mirrors the problem is solved!
The must lock in closed position otherwise engineers were fool!
