FC fears overnight lows
Ok... thought she would quit doing this, but it doesn't look that way...
When I turn my '87 NA on after nights that get in the low 20s or teens, (That's as cold as it gets here in Norf Cackalaki) she sometimes has a buzzer go off, and the add coolant light comes on. Well, I add coolant in all the right places in the engine, and she seems fine. But when she gets super cold again, she does it again. She even did it today after sitting in the bright sunlight while I was in class... but I just turned her off, let her sit a second, and turned her back on again. She was fine after that.
Second question, which may be related... She sometimes idles between 1500 and 2000 RPMs... unless I am shifting gears slowly, and she bogs back down to her usual 995-1000 RPMs.... SOMETIMES. But since it's been cold every now and then here in the Raleigh, NC area, she has sat close to 2000 more often than normal. And for those of you who have responded to my past questions, help me figure if this is related to the fuel injector question that a few of you helped me with (blackplague and a few others know what I am talking about).

You're loosing coolant somewhere.
Places to look:
1) The heater hose connection to the rear iron under the oil filter. Oil gets on the hose & softens it.
2) The 3/8" coolant line from the TB to down under the UIM and into the top of the rear iron.
I know pulling the UIM to get to it is a PITA, but if it's >15 years old it will fail soon if it hasn't already.
3) The weep hole on the bottom of the water pump.
4) A hairline crack in the plastic radiator tank.
