FC Euro Taillights

I know that the s5 taillights are highly saught after for s4 owners
but say you own an s5, and you wanted to see if there were any Euro taillights available on the internet. however, the wierdest thing is no matter how hard you look you will never find any. the only different taillights i have seen are for FD's. Has anyone in here ever known of them existing? If so .. where?

i think ssauto chrome makes them out of buble gum and tissue paper. they work pretty good i hear. also, if you have a chance, get their manifolds, they are made from pixie dust and toilet paper tubes.

euro? what do you mean euro? you mean ricer lights? not. thank god that they dont make ricer junk for rx7's except ssautcrap.

I have S4 euro lights for my vert. They have a rear fog light built in and only fit verts unless you have the euro trim panel.

On the other hand...

Maybe he means the lame *** Altenza style lights... if so he needs to sell his RX-7 and get a Honda, where they make crap like that to help fix the styling.

I've seen the clear lens S5 ones posted up a couple times. Not the worst looking things imaginable, but I'm not in line to buy them by any means.

I've always wanted a set of clear S4 lights in a euro configuration (with the foggie). When done propperly they look really good.

rok...this is the only pic left (that I can find) from a guy here who made a set or two...he made them pretty cheap, though, and they looked really poor under close inspection.

I also really like these:

I've always really liked the clear/candy apple red tinted translucent. I think that is Euro lights? I'm not into rice at all, but sometimes you want to be different.

Anybody have any idea how exactly they did those blacked out s4's? take them apart and get them tinted?

I think that looks pretty good on a black FC.

The reason tinted tail lights are illegal is cause it makes them difficult to see during the daytime. as well as night. But what if you got some sort of super bright LED's or regular lights that would show through...i dont think a cop would give you a ticket if you were able to see through them easily.

Cop might not give you a ticket but one can simply because...

...is not the reason they're illegal. They're illegal because the department of transportation approved a specific design to meet specific criteria. Altering that design in any way makes it a product that the DOT has not reviewed, no approved.

What makes me laugh is how clear or Altezza-syle lights get called "Euro" lights by the junk dealers who sell them and the ricer kids who buy them, when there's nothing even slightly European about them. What European car had lights like that? None that I can think of.

I think they do it just because kids like fad words, like JDM, they need it to sound exotic before they dump their $9.95 into it.

this is true, and funny. i think like, lexus's and nissan maxima's are the only car that come with stock tailights like that. its not "Der Nissan" folks ;-)

Have you ever used VHT Nightshades? I've completely blacked out the tails on one of my cars, and the lights shine through completely at night time..

but nighttime isnt the problem, seeing it in the daytime is. stand behind your car ahnd have someone hit the turns and the breaks. youll see.
