FC alt upgrade question

Hello everybody! I was reading in the first gen area about some guys swapping their alts for ones out of Buicks. Well my buddy happened to have a junk Buick sitting in his field, so I grabbed the alternator out of it. I figured since it was free, there was no harm in seeing if I could get it to work. So I JUST NOW got home, and I haven't had a chance to tear into the motor, because it's around 97 degrees out and the motor is still too hot to work with. I just wanted to know if anyone had done this. The buick alt has two wires, whereas the one in the guide here: https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...lternator+swap
has four. It has the one wire coming out of the plug, and the wire that goes to the battery. Is this at all compatible or should I not even bother?
