http://www.rx7.com/racing/content/times.html

i couldnt remember how to get there but these times are from other cars records.

I do remember that the quickest rx7 is a FC=6.3 not a FD=7.4

A 3 rotor will make more hp yes, but can you put that to the ground? which is why I stated that a 2 rotor will make, or shall I say run just as fast of times a 3 rotor.... A 3 rotor is nothing but brag'n rights...Don't get me wrong I love them, but for the extra money spent to achieve the same output, I can't see it.....

When you ask who has the fastest FC is an unfare question. be more specific on tubed or not, because after that 500-550rwhp range is where you start to have traction and driveline issues.. An FD will hold a 315 and thats alot compared to my 275 on my FC, unless you have a wide body....

The YGO20B is not the fastest FC here. close though

I would say YGO's is most likely number 1 as long as we are comparing full body street cars.

KSP Engineering gotta be up there...
950ps, over 900hp at the wheels
Does consistent 9's on DRAG RADIALS - rumored to be able to punch out a 7 second run if they allow slicks.
13B-REW, BP, twin GT-3037's
I think it also broke the 200mph mark...

Hmm...being that KSP hasn't updated their website in a few YEARS, that would be accurate.

Too bad you can't read or watch any of the recent Option magazine or videos, because the car now does 950ps and 9.0's...

I've been asking for months on why my account RETed was locked out on there.
Your "Contact Us" -> webmaster@teamfc3s.org emaill address doesn't even work.
My queries on the forum don't get no responses.
I've even tried to PM you on here, and you seem to ignore them.
So you have enough time to read and reply and even add a pic to this thread, but yet you can't take care of admin stuff on your own website?

I'm surprised you didn't know the car broke 900ps since you're IN JAPAN right now.
It's been at least several months, and I think since 2003 they have made over 900.

You really want to mess with me after than whole fiasco with selling your 499hp FC...

hmm 9.662 at 758ps and you say they run 9.0's with 950ps hmm seems like a hell of alot more ps just for .662 seconds really 192ps more for .662 seconds comon MAN! If my memory is rigth it was running nitto drag radials when it ran the 9.662 pass so with slicks you think it would get the 9.0 even but no you say it needs a extra 192ps . Also I DO read the recent option mags and whatch the vids at my buddys house i didnt' see any thing about that car in there. if you can give me a issue # and the month i will go check it out. till then i must call bs and think your trying to save face. The car was in summer 2004 hyper rev mag as 758 ps still. so what are we missing that you oh so greatly know

No problem I will get the magazine and the pics to prove it.
I'll try and get access to a scanner for a better view of the article, but I can't promise you that.
I do have my Mavica, and I can promise you at least a shot with a crappy digcam.

Hey, I don't drive the car, so I can't explain the time differences.
I do know the car makes over 900ps, and the times were in the 9.0's.

The Laws Of an FC

Dude all this conversation is relatively pointless.
FC's and Rx7s in general were never designed to go fast in straight lines.
The cars were engineered by some of the worlds top minds to be the worlds top sports cars. The point is, the FCs thing does not lie ahead of it but around a corner. So many people put so much emphases on power, speed, and so after a certain point they take away what is the very essence of a sports car. .

Drag racing is an excuse for a lack of driver skill.
I’m sorry, I don't mean to hurt anybodies feelings but the true skills of driving in their maximum potential are found on the track and not on the strip. The only skill I can see being somewhat important in drag racing is launching. Other than that all other skill plus some are found in road racing and non-strait line forms of racing.

If you like Drag racing, Build a car that was meant to drag race and don’t destroy one that was destined for so much more. (WORD)

when you are talking about the times that this car is putting down and all the variables involved it is not hard at all to believe it is only .6XX faster. The faster you go the more the horsepower needed multiplies itself, plus traction, driving style, torque curve, ect.

Sorry but your argument is simply one of a novice.

i understand where youre coming from, but you mentioned a lot about drag racing, though you threw in a few other things. the same person who started this thread is looking to build a highway beast. this, in a sense, is similar to "straight line performance," but that, in my opinion, overlooks a major valid point; the build of a car. as much as you (in general; anyone) wantsto bash any type of racing, each one has its strong points. here we have a small engine, 1.3 litre 2-rotor. he wants to accomplish an insane amount of power from this engine. in itself, that is a task. a lot goes into building a racecar; any racecar. i can laugh at nascar or say i find nitro dragsters boring, but at the same time, they in themselves are quite a feat. racing is a mixture is competition, skill and fun (and whatever other variables you can think of which apply). were RX7s made to drag race? no. were mustangs? i dont think so, i think they're a road course/gt vehicle. were civics? naw, they were meant to get 40mpg. but hell, even they can turn 8s. now look at old hot rods. some of those cars were built as family cars. no one seems surprised when they get a big block and blower tossed under the hood. its a matter of taste and desire.
i hardly call building a car to run top speeds or hit low 1/4 mile times "destroying" the car. selling it to a junkyard for scrap that will be crushed is destroying the car. the "destiny" of a car is up to the owner. will i still make fun of ricers? well of course. this, however, is an honest task. and if you really don't think so, you may want to write a couple of hate letters to Racing Beat for their attrocious use of a poor second and third gen at the salt flats. damn their 230+ and 240+mph runs. could you really meet the people who built that car and tell them that they destroyed an FC and an FD? well, the FD they may agree with since it crashed.

yea, i've seen the numbers, if i remember correctly, side by side and knew that they were very close, but i've never seen an actual conversion for them. or maybe i have and forgot. i have a very selective memory; only i dont select what it remembers.

Ever wonder where that extra horsepower is made? Most likely the lot of it is going to be higher up in the rpm range. Unless they're running some crazy gearing that means that they are going to be getting higher traps but not necessarilly quicker times that coincide directly to the power because of where it is. It's that whole thing about power band.
