Falls on its face when cold?
Hey, I'm posting this for my dad since he does not use the computer. We have an 88 RX-7 Convertible, with recently installed Atkins 13B. Problem we are having, is when its cold, you begin to go down the road, it begins to buck and hesitate. When it warms up, it goes away for the most part. My dad says it goes away completely when warm, but I feel that it still does it in the high revs (pretty close to redline).
Any suggestions to what might cause the surging/bucking when cold? Thanks.

Where is the TPS located? How do I test it? Does it need to be set in any special way? I know on my Conquest, its adjustable and it needs to be @ a certain voltage. Thanks

throttle position sensor, do you know where you're throttle is? On the 88 convertible (I have one) it's .....
it's literally right there next to your throttle, , play with your throttle lever on the front side of the intake, see that part that pulls out of a little electric box to the left? that's it. it needs replacement, I've had this problem in both my 88, and my 89. Can't say i remember how much it cost......
