O2 is not flammable....it is an oxidizer.

No problem. Instantly rusting, i don't think so. The chemical formula for rust is Fe2O3 (red rust) if i remember correctly. So, in theory if more O2 is present, then iron would rust faster. But as you stated only adding trace amounts, there is still a lot of other stuff in the mix.
