Factory Radio

OK I found out where the cables go and hooked everything up. My radio still does not work! The lights turn on with the dashboard, the antenna goes up and no display, no castte deck no eq or sound. Then I pulled it out again and outside the car I hooked it up to a 12V+ and NO ground. The casette deck worked, the display lighted up but no radio station numbers just an orange screen, the program and dolby buttons worked in other words everything worked except the dark display numbers. I checked the fuses inside the car (kick panel) and no fuses are blown. Could it be that I am getting no power from the accessories (ignition) switch cable?.
I don't need diagrams, I know the cable colors and where they belog and the ground on the radio is very good. So if you reply to this just keep in mind that I have used the SEARCH button and have not found what I am looking for.

Had the same problem (I think) you described. However, had sound. The LCD were blank orange. If I ran finger over them it was fluid under neath. Radio was an original 90 GTU with Clarion radio. Kaput! Clarion LCD replacements no longer available.

two reasons that the display doesn't work...

One: missing 12v+ constant into the radio. there needs to be switched and constant.

Two: bad radio.

pretty simple...
