We're all ****, and want OEM keys.

Knowing me, I'll go down and complete the Stock key set.

(2 Primary keys, and one Secondary - along with a stock keyring with the Lock code on it)

You should be able to, if not I'm sure somebody on the forum could get you one.

I'm not sure, but I think the secondary key is like a valet key that will only operate doors and ignition, it will not open the glove box and storage bins. The previous owner only gave me one key with my current RX-7, but my last one had a plain metal one with it that served a valet function only IIRC.

That's exactly what it is. I only have the secondary right now.

Amazingly the second time I went to my dealership they were more cooperative. Not only did they confirm they can get me the keys but they offered me the OEM keys. Pretty happy actually.

Doesn't anyone have there owners manual anymore? This is a quote from my 1988 AE owners manual part number 8837-EA-87G regarding primary and secondary keys:

"the reason why we provide a secondary key is to safe guard any valuables you may have in the glove box, storage compartment and truck lid.
Should it be necessary to leave your vehicle with a parking attendant ((back when all RX7's started right up )) etc, you may still protect your valuables by locking the glove box, storage compartment and trunk lid. Leave only the secondary key with the attendant. The secondary key will only operate the door locks, ignition switch and, rear glass hatch. Only you will be able to unlock the glove box, storage compartment, and trunk lid with your primary key."

Am I lucky or something to have all the manuals to my RX7's and all their original keys? Including the coveted AE primary key that I'm told you can't order anymore...

Actually, I was just going to post it would be really nice if we could find a way to gather pdfs of the owners manual. Having bought my car second hand I neither have the proper keys nor do I have the manual. I was trying to get one from Mazda, and I am being told they no longer have any in their library, and aren't exactly likely to make any new. I've managed to find PDF's of almost every other resource when it comes to our cars ... the owners manual seems to be the most grossly lacking.

To remove any doubt of the operation of the secondary key:

I've a secondary key but am lacking a digital camera to snap a picture of it.

Hmmm... Maybe when I get back to Atlanta I can scan my 1990 Owner's Manual into a PDF.
