factory alarm

I have an 88 turbo 2 annivarsary edition. I have the factory alarm system on it and it doesn't work now. You know when you open your door with the car turned of and the key in the ignition, and it makes a beeping noise? Well, my car makes that beep all the time, even when the key isn't int the ignition. I figure this has something to do with my alarm not working. If any of you know how to fix this please let me know. Thanks.

no dude, I'm not talking about the beep that the alarm itself makes, i know what your talking about there. I'm talking about the beep that the steering column makes when you open your door with the key in the ignition.

You have a bad key sense switch in the steering column.

Sometimes the plug/switch just get unlocked from the housing, pull the steering column cover and look at the small off white colored two wire plug on the underside of the key switch location. Make sure it is up tight into the bottom of the key switch.
