hey i just picked up my very first 91 TII and was wondering whats up with the damn alarm and door locking. im confused. when i lock it from the inside i go outside and can open it??. and when i lock it from the inside it doesnt beep when i lock it. do i have to do something from the hatch or something?? thanks

you need to hold the handle up on the outside of the door while you close it. Otherwise the lock just pops back open. And the alarm will only work when locking the door like that. If you use the key in the door to lock it; the alarm won't work.

 

My 85' 300zx had that alarm in the key hole. Do you have to turn the key one then back all the way the half again??? Also do the doors have auto locking system when you start driving the doors lock and cant be opened even if the door this say its not locked ? in my 300zx had i think the same system it only went off twice once turn the key the wrong way and the other a bird hit my car in the parking lot lol. there weird systems!!!

 

as above you gota hold the handle up when you close the door.

when you push the lock down it should beep and the light should come on. after you close the door. a few secs later the light will start flashing fast and then it'll beep again and arm.

to set it off. if you reach through the window (open or smashed) and unlock it. and open the door it'll go off. or if you pop the hood or hatch. when it's going off you can't start the car. I tryed once LOL

 

Yeah what he said! lol The lights flash through the FTPs and the horn Honks! very loud!!! lol
