If it makes any diff. I have been using a stage 3 Clutch from F1 (ebay)

I got it shipped for under 200$. I beat the living crap out of that clutch.

Drift(plenty of clutch kick)
Drag A LOT of launches.
and it was daily driven.

ended up getting exedy stage 2 clutch and act prolite flywheel...loving it so far...i had to play it safe after contacting gripforce on the flywheel and this is what they said through email....

my question: does the flywheel come with any documentation stating that it is sfi 1.1 certified?

gripforce answer: the flywheel does not come with documentation but it is sfi certified.

mind you, the act and exedy products i got, BOTH HAD SFI 1.1 STICKERS ON THEM....PROOF

 

i have a f1 racing flywheel for a couple months now i have no problem whats so ever..

it never hurts untill you buy it and most of these guys on this forum dont buy cheap stuff cause they think is gonna be cheap,, but the are some things that cant be argue with either but there is some good stuff out there,,but; for example a flywheel and clutch the company is going to make testings for how much it can hold up shattering etc.. if they didnt they would be sued and out of business.

on other forums the people on there buy it to find out construction of the item if its worth buying then they spread the word if its good or bad and having of course the experince of the item.

no it was thru email like i said....but then again...one misleading answer and they lost a customer...tech or not they should get their facts straight, especially when dealing with potential customers. i did get my clutch from gripforce...its excellent btw...but see if you would have posted this comment a while back, i probably would have gotten the f1 flywheel....lol....but you cant go wrong with quality parts!...if you have the money that is....

I love lightweight flywheels. The lighter the better. I first had a lightweight steel one from RB and ended up wanting lighter. Then I went to an aluminum one and love it. I'd use no flywheel at all if I could figure out how to get the engine started without it! I laugh at people who say light flywheels suck. They obviously have no driving talent or would rather be in a Cadillac!

For any product out there you will find people who tell you not to buy it. I use and absolutely love Centerforce clutches. I'd buy them again. I destroyed a Bonez in about a thousand miles once. You hear people saying the opposite thing should happen though and maybe it does. Just remember, opinions are just that, opinions. On many things, particularly brand names, you need to draw your own conclusions.

 

Buying one of these would depend on a couple of factors, and using a little common sense. I wouldn't take a chance with one of F1racing clutches but the flywheel might be a good buy,the 11# forged chromolly one.The lighter alumimum one they offer I'd pass on, from a safety standpoint of it failling. Apart from improper machining which is less likely with CNC equipment these days you are probably safer beating on a forged material flywheel then even on a cast steel OEM one.

 

Where did you see Act fywheels for $60 as I have been looking and can't find them for less than $250 plus $100 for the counterweight?

 

Dude, he says for 60 bucks more... As in 60 Dollars more then the F1 ones.
