A/F guage power

I was wondering if anyone has a sugegstion for a good place to tap into to get some power for the A/f guage (i have an autometer). I saw that it needs a 5 amp fuse, so i was thinking that maybe i could tap into the power on my turbo timer and stick an inline fuse in there??? anyone have any better ideas, thanks alot in advance. Also--can anyone help me w/ a guage pod, material suggestions, this is to go under my stereo. I already made one out od styrofoam but i dont think its gonna be strong enough to support anything more than the turbo timer. Thanks alot.

Where are you at in houston? I'm in houston to, I live right by the galleria, near 59 south. I just hooked up my autometer a/f gauge to my 91 na. All I did was tap in to the (PCM) signal wire with the violet wire, then with the black wire, I grouned on the battery. With the red wire, I had a fuse for (ABS) that was a 30 amp fuse, took that amp out and went and bought a 5 amp fuse, then I hooked the red wire to there, then to the 12 v ignition switch. If you have any trouble, you could drop bye, and check out the way I have mine hooked up.

I tapped into the stereo's power line. If you have a Haynes manual, they have complete electrical system diagrams. If you don't have one, let me know and I'll check. As for the guage pod material, You can use aluminum and paint it to match. You just need something that can bore a 52 or 60mm hole. My roomate's dad did his guage mount below his stereo out of aluminum (he make's aluminum aircraft panels ) and it looks professional.
