external wastegates!!!

just wanted to know what people are running for wastegates and how there holding up. I'm upgrading my turbo and going with an external wastegate and I'm all confused on which one to get. I like hks but am wondering what size to get and have read about the tial wategates but cant find much info on those. any advice would be great and if you have hands on experience that would be even better, thanks

Tial brand wastegates and BOVs are top-notch. I havent had any personal experience with them, but everyone Ive talked to that has used them cant say enough about them. As for size, I would go with at least a 40mm unit. The Stock S5 Turbo wastegate can be ported to ~35mm. Are you having boost creep issues with the stock one, and if not, what is your reason for wanting an aftermarket external one?

If you go hks go, 50mm. I really disliked my standard 40mm one and was forced to upgrade to the 50mm. Although the valve is 40mm, the outlet on the wastegate is only 32mm. So, it's essential a 32mm wastegate, and it creeped on me like a bitch. Go as big as you can once and save yourself time and money.

Tial is the shiznit, can't say enough good about them, and their resonably priced. Turbo Smart I hear makes great one's too. Don't go any smaller then 40mm.

no I'm not having boost creep, I am just upgrading tubos for my new engine and I like the external wastegates better then internal.
Also, are those cheap turbo mainfolds on ebay any good, thers those polished ones for like $200, thats seems like a good price if there worth it.
