external fuel pump for 88NA engine
I am using an 88NA engine for my lotus seven project, and I am working on the fuel system now, anyway I am doingf reaserch on parts for my fuel system. What kind of external fuel pump is everyone using? I dont need to run anything better than stock as the motor is going to stay stock. Also what sizes are the fuel fittings on the engine and what else will I need. I tried using the search but got tired of reading through old posts.
Parst i know I will need:
fuel pump
filter
regulator (not sure of this one)
The fuel tank I am using is of my own design and not complete yet, but here a link to another forum with my recent post about the fuel tank.

and the last good photo of the car as a whole a while back

The tank is 16 inches high I though that the stock pump would be too short, I also dont have one, and to a lesser extent the top of the gas tank will be angled slightly.
I also already made provisions for a sump at the bottom of the tank

If I am not mistaken, the GSL-SE uses an external pump. Should be easy to find one in the classifieds section.
Otherweise there are a million aftermarket pumps but all require a regulator upgrade.

Go to your local autoparts store and ask to see either a Master fuel pump catalog or a Carter Fuel pump catalog. In the back of both these catalogs you will find charts that will list fuel pumps by part #s and then list what thier operating PSI is and thier LPH or GPH, and Also if the pump is meant for Internal or External use.
