Extended studs

So I bought some 20mm Ichiba spacers for my 88 vert. My mechanic said that the extended studs included with the spacers are too short...he said we need about 3 inch (75 mm) studs?!?

Does that sound correct? I can't find 3 inch studs...

I found these in an old thread on the forum...they seem to be the right size. Does it matter if I get these for the back AND front wheels? I think the front studs do not have to be as long.

What is the offset your trying to fit, you shouldn't really have to use a spacer in the rear unless your going for pure fitment and studs all the way around is nice! what brand of open lugs are you going to run? I've been shopping around and am curious as to what your going with.

I'm just trying to fit 20mm spacers on the front and back man. I'm going to get the 75mm ARP studs.

stock rear studs are approx. 1.5" long ...late gm camaro/corvette arp 2.5" studs are long enough for a 20mm spacer and they are like $15 versus $35 for the 3.25" studs.

just doing the same...cheers
I haven't measured the front studs..so i'm not sure if they are longer then the rears...someone may chime in if you need the 3.25" studs for the front for a 20mm spacer. I'm only using a small 5mm front spacer.

The 3.25 inch studs in front are a very close match for the 2.5 inch studs in the rear if you want a uniform look front and back.

I'm slightly confused. I thought all the Ichiba spacers that are over 10mm are set up to use the lug nuts that come with the kit to attach the spacer to the wheel hub and then the studs that come with the kit are meant to be mounted in the spacers themselves, not in your hub. So it basically moves the studs and the mounting face of the wheel out by 20mm in your case so you shouldn't need extended studs as you are actually bolting the wheel to the spacer and the spacer is then bolted to the hub.
