Question Extended Hot Start????

I have a 91n/a is it normal for it to take about 5 seconds to start on a hot restart on these cars??? It starts up fine if i shut if off and then restart it but if i let it sit for a half an hour it takes a few seconds to start.

Some Rx7 May Develope Leaky Injectors And They Still Hold Pressure And Fuel Floods The Engine , For A Easy Fix You Can Buy For About $50 It's Like An H Tee That Allows Fuel To Flow Back The The Return Line

5 full seconds of cranking before it fires when its hot?

sounds a LITTLE long, but nothing crazy - how many k's on the engine? have you checked your compression?

That is not a fix, it is a band-aid. Even Mazdatrix says so. It is NOT to be used to "fix" other problems with the car.

The real fix is to have the injectors cleaned. Most communities have at least one injection shop so check the yellow pages.

Is it more common for primaries or secondaries to cause this condition?

The thermowax and the fast idle cam should have sepreated long ago if your addressing Hot Start problems. I don't see the connection b/t the hot start and the thermowax.

During any start, the BAC goes full open as long as the key is held to start. See FSM for validation of that remark.
