Exten manifold removal

1989 Convertible N/A. I'm trying to remove the injectors for servicing and installing Atkins sleeved in the 5 & 6 ports. I removed the throttle body and the upper intake manifold. I removed the four fasteners that the FSM show, along with all the hoses and wires (in spite of labeling, I hope I can get this thing back together), but try as I might, I cannot get the exten manifold to come off. Any suggestions are welcome.

on the S5 there are 3 pieces, the lower, middle and upper.

i usually don't take the upper and middle sections apart, its a lot of work (as you may have noticed), and it doesn't get you where you need to be.

i take the upper and middle off as one piece, and in this case all you remove are the 4 nuts and one center bolt that hides under the BAC or fuel rail or something.

once you have the thing off the car, taking the upper and middle apart is easier

hope that helps

Missed the bolt under the rule rail. Off now. Injectors are off to be cleaned and balanced.

Thanks!
