So ebay has tons of auctions for "cross drilled and slotted" rotors. From what I understand they are merely brembo blanks that have been drilled/slotted with a CNC machine, which is pretty much how all drilled/slotted rotors on the market are done. But the rotors are pretty cheap, so I'm just wondering what kind of quality they are. I've heard of people saying they'll crack, I've heard of people saying they wont, but I couldn't find a ton of info from people saying they actually had first hand experience with it cracking or not, just speculation.

Anyone on here bought ebay ones? Experiences?

Yes I know about irotors.com, but I am trying to find out about the ebay ones. The ebay ones after shipping are 100 dollars cheaper than the price you just quoted, and after reading some things on irotors.com, it seems like all they do is get blanks that they drill/slot with a CNC machine just like the ones on ebay are. So if its the same thing, why buy the ones that are 100 dollars more? That's why I'm trying to find out if they are ok or not.

I think those will work for an S5 TII but it doesn't say whether they're cross drilled or slotted... just says crossdrilled/slotted. Which is it? One, the other, or both?

 

Cross drilled/slotted means its both, usually.

 

Now that we've got a good brake thread going, where is a cheap place to get performance pads? Hawks or others?

Btw, how much did you pay for yours? Brand? No problems with cracking I assume? and are they cross drilled/slotted?

 

mine are front brembo rear bradi (or brandi cant remember) drilled rotors and he said he could of got mine cross drilled, slotted or both. mine are just cross drilled. and no problems yet. he should be able to hook you up for really really good price. as in maybe cheaper than oem ones.

 

How long have you had yours on?

 

tire rack has some good deals on pads and everything else, yea lots more than ebay, but cheaper than other companies selling the same products.

 

those rotors on ebay looks alright... I just dont know about cheaping out on brakes though....

'sup guys... sorry, i haven't been selling the rotors for a while now just cuz shipping them out is a pita... if there are a lot of people who are interested i will give my conenction a call again and let you guys know...

as for the rotors... they work fine... i had mine drilled and slotted, and my other friend had them done w/ straight slots only. both of us track our fc's (well, i did until i had a mishap w/ the center divider), and the rotors hold up well. We both run our rotors w/ hawk hp+ pads, works great.

 

oh, i forgot to mention, mine are pretty much like the ebay ones... same deal, brembo blanks drilled and slotted elsewhere.

 

Is there any option on where you put the slots, like what angle and how far apart ( you mention straight slots)?
