Exhaust Value N-1?!

I lost my muffler on the highway for my N/A. I'm thinking of purchasing a bargain muffler, but I want it to last a few years. I'm looking in the <$200 range. The RX-7 N-1 is always listed for about $400. However, looking at Summit's site they have universal N-1s for $200. What's the difference?

Also, since I'm very poor and need something that lasts, isn't the ability of the muffler to last simply measured by the material that it's made of. I.e shouldn't most Stainless Steel mufflers last about the same amount of time?

Performance here is not of concern. Thanks for any input in advance.

the one from summit might just be the canister? and the other more expensive one might be the whole thing. either that or they are different brands. the apexi N1 muffler is alot more than just a N1 or N1 style muffler. you can get some really really cheap N1 style mufflers from ebay. i think it mite be like $20 or sumthin like that.

It could be just thinner steel, it will kinda have a loud annoying Honda civic sound. But hey, a $200 exhaust is a $200 exhaust.

Wow, my right muffler fell off a little whiles back. Now I'm dying from fumes... I should be getting a new/used exhaust soon though. Have you thought about getting one from a junkyard?
